Educate. Validate. Collaborate.
Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Quinolone Vigilance Foundation (QVF) is a volunteer non-profit organization established in 2009 in response to countless victims worldwide who suffered severe adverse reactions to fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
The mission of the Quinolone Vigilance Foundation is to build an international awareness movement by advocating for patients who are harmed by fluoroquinolone antibiotics, educating medical professionals, strengthening warning labels, reducing antibiotic resistance through the vigilant use of antibiotics, and funding research on fluoroquinolone toxicity.
Our strategic plan to combat Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic Toxicity focuses on four goals:
- Educate an International Audience through our website www.SaferPills.org, television, print, online, and social media, provide education to patients and medical professionals, distribute brochures and awareness cards, and produce awareness videos on YouTube.com and HealthCosmos.com.
- Empower Advocates and Ambassadors by giving our volunteer representatives the tools they need to support victims of fluoroquinolone antibiotics, advise them on how to connect with the media and with elected officials, and create opportunities to direct policies that could help save the health and lives of patients worldwide.
- Coordinate Policy Efforts including testifying at Public FDA Hearings, assisting other agencies in raising awareness about the dangers of fluoroquinolones, and helping to combat antibiotic resistance caused by the overprescribing of fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
- Support Independent Fundamental Research into this poorly understood condition by providing assistance in funding vital research and apply discovered knowledge to educate medical professionals and alleviate individual suffering.
