Libel and defamation

It is the intent of the Quinolone Vigilance Foundation (QVF) to adhere to all laws and regulations that apply to the organization, and the underlying purpose of this Policy is to support the organization’s goal of legal compliance in accordance with Federal recommendations. The support of all volunteers is necessary to achieve compliance. If a volunteer witnesses or suspects that QVF is not in compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the organization, that volunteer is protected from retaliation only if QVF is given a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct the alleged unlawful activity before the volunteer turns to outside parties for resolution. The protection described below is only available to volunteers that comply with this requirement.
QVF will not retaliate against a volunteer who reports a violation in good faith, without malice to QVF or any individual within QVF.
QVF encourages anyone reporting a violation to identify himself or herself when making a report in order to facilitate the investigation of the violation. A report may be submitted on a confidential basis by the complainant via the contact form below. We will keep reports confidential to the fullest extent possible, consistent with the need to conduct an adequate investigation to comply with Federal and State laws, and to cooperate with law enforcement. We will explore anonymous allegations to the fullest extent, but will weigh the prudence of continuing such investigations against the likelihood of confirming the alleged allegations from reputable sources.
